Wesco move local ITT branch
Wesco Systems Ltd were appointed to provide electrical and mechanical services to serve a relocating branch of ITT to an existing ITT facility in Axminster.
Power to a variety of CNC machines of varying sizes, some up to 30T, along with water supplies for cutting and cleaning were required.
As the works were to take place in a working environment that could not be interrupted, along with the requirement of a minimum downtown during relocation, Wesco had to manage the project with an accuracy and exactness to ensure everything was in place for the arriving machines and a sympathy for the existing ongoing production within the facility. To achieve this Wesco engineers and fitters worked tireless hours over weekends and during nights to carry out the more invasive works without compromise to the customer’s facility, personnel and systems.
Wesco provided a new LV panel board served overhead from the existing facility incomer. From here new power supplies were installed overhead to serve the new machinery. Ancillary small power services were also installed, lighting systems modified, space heating system modified, data containment installed and a new boosted water service installed.
