New hot water calorifiers for Tall Ship Pelican of London.
Wesco have recently completed a series of works on board T.S. Pelican of London including but not limited to the replacement of the ships ageing and leaking hot water calorifiers. Tight conditions not only for the installation of the new system but the removal of the old system set an intriguing challenge for the Wesco engineers who dismantled and removed the generator room floor and had to isolate and remove sensitive parts from the main engine in order to eliminate any damage to sensitive and expensive parts but also aid in the tough installation challenge ahead.
An all new stainless steel piped system was installed to the two new custom built 300L stainless steel calorifiers supplied by Wesco. Whilst onboard Wesco engineers assisted with electrical fault finding and rectification and were also employed to replace the sea water cooling pipe work to the ships two generators.
